This is another of renowned artist Al Sorenson's tributes to great ballparks. Forbes Field was the famed baseball park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1909 to 1971. It was home to the Pittsburgh Pirates and to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The stadium also served as the home football field for the University of Pittsburgh "Pitt" Panthers from 1909 to 1924. The stadium was named after British general John Forbes.
