"Prince Hal, No. 16" is a unique graphic art design by Michigan artist Kirk Timmons. This drawing composed of a montage of detailed pen and ink drawings, depicts Hal Newhouser, known to Detroit Tiger fans as "Prince Hal", within the No. 16 he wore for the Tigers. The only pitcher in major league history to win back-to-back MVP awards, Hal Newhouser, Detroit born-and-raised, was the most dominant picture of the 1940's Prince Hal was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1992 and the Detroit Tigers retired his No. 16 on July 27, 1997. The drawing also includes images of the old Briggs Stadium (later re-named Tiger Stadium) where Newhouser played from 1939-1953.
